Class Afloat welcomes applications from certified 11th and 12th grade faculty who have experience teaching the courses we offer. We also welcome applications from certified professional crew, cooks and medical officers. All professional personnel must hold, at a minimum, STCW-95 certification.
Class Afloat accepts applications year round from qualified secondary school educators. We generally conclude our hiring for the next school year by March 15. If your resume and qualifications are aligned with assignment vacancies, you will be contacted for an interview. Due to the high volume of applications received we are not able to interview all candidates.
We welcome applications year round for the position of cook/chef. We recommend that interested candidates submit applications not later than February 15 to be considered for the coming academic year. General responsibilities of this position include daily meal preparation, provisioning, budget management and the supervision of a student galley team. Early application is encouraged. Cooks and Cook's Mates must hold STCW-95 Basic Safety Certifications.
We also welcome applications year round for the position of Medical Officer (RN, MD, PA, EMT) and once again recommend that, in consideration of placement for September, interested candidates submit applications not later than February 15.
