Our first stop in the Caribbean has been full of fun, sun, and adventure! During shore leave many students embarked on island tours to visit the nutmeg factory, to sample the daily catch at a local fish fry, and to hike in Grand Etang National Forest. At our St. George's University port program we went on a campus tour and attended two special lectures: the first on Caribbean history with a professor of History, and the second on endemic species of Grenada with a professor of Marine Biology. Yesterday we went sailing on catamarans and stopped at two reefs on the west coast of the island to snorkel. We saw countless fish, squid, octopi, and eels! From the music to the people to the sights, our visit to Grenada has been unforgettable.
