Update - Dominica
The Caribbean's "Nature Island", Dominica does not disappoint! Our hike yesterday through the rainforest in Morne Trois Piton National Park led us to Middleham Falls - a waterfall of extraordinary height where many delighted in leaping into the impressively deep pool at the waterfall's base. After a refreshing swim we hiked back to the trailhead and went to Ti Tou Gorge. The entrance to the gorge was so modest that no one expected what we found inside: after a short swim upriver we were all struck with awe and wonder at the walls of the gorge, which formed a winding cavern leading to an underground waterfall! The sounds of the water flowing echoed through the gorge, as did the squeals of joy from our crew. We returned to ship last night and watched Pirates of the Caribbean on the main deck in honour of the scenes that were filmed in Dominica! The adventures continue today and tomorrow we set sail for Samana.
