2012-2013 Scholarship Winner Announced!
Eleanor Teller of Charlotte, North Carolina has been selected as the Memorial Scholarship Winner for 2012-13! Ellie, a 10th grade student at Charlotte Country Day, is an 'Honours Student' and an active leader within her school community and the community outside of school. She was selected from more than 45 qualifying candidates by the West Island College Class Afloat Foundation's Scholarship Committee. A short list of 7 finalists presented academic averages in excess of 90% and the Committee extends its congratulations to the field of truly remarkable and very exceptional candidates. To say the least, it made the selection very challenging. Through the generosity of its donors, Class Afloat has, over the past 20 years, made more than $1,000,000 of scholarship contributions to deserving students and looks to increase its support in the years ahead. Congratulations, once again, to Ellie! Well done!
